Hi! I'm Elle!
As an ex-gymnast, personal trainer, and yoga teacher for the past 10 years, I‘ve seen and experienced firsthand the importance of mobility, stability, and alignment.
I used to be the least flexible gymnast ever. In fact, a large part of the reason I got hurt and had to quit gymnastics was because I was not focusing on my flexibility or mobility at all. In the process of recovery, I spent a lot of time just doing static stretches, which is when you hold a stretch for a long time and hope that you feel better afterwards. But I realized that I wasn't really seeing any lasting progress over time.
So I started yoga and through yoga, I discovered this process of moving into and out of stretches and focusing on your whole range of motion. That was when I really started to see big changes in the amount of pain I was experiencing, and in the way I could actually move again. The whole process excited me so much, I actually ended up going back to school for a degree in biomechanics to study the training factors that affect mobility the most.
This is why I put together FluidMotion Coaching, so that I can help highly active people just like you avoid the mistakes I made in my journey back to optimal movement.
By combining scientific knowledge with yoga and my own personal experience reducing pain and stiffness and rebuilding my functional mobility, I've come to develop this time-efficient way to reduce pain and stiffness, even out muscle imbalances over time, and improve performance in any sort of physical activity while reducing injury risk.
